Join Dudley Students' Union and ESOL department at this year's summer Cultural Festival – Celebrating Unity, Diversity & Equality

This is a vibrant, student-led celebration dedicated to promoting inclusion, challenging discrimination, and standing united against racism in all its forms. The festival brings together students, staff, and the wider community for a powerful day of cultural expression, education, and solidarity.

Through music, food, art, and performances that reflect the rich diversity of our student body, the festival creates a safe and welcoming space where everyone can learn from each other’s experiences. Guest speakers, and creative activities explore themes of identity, social justice, allyship, and the ongoing fight for racial equity.

More than just an event, the festival is a statement of Dudley SU’s unwavering commitment to building an anti-racist institution—where every student feels seen, heard, and empowered. It's a time to celebrate our differences, confront injustice, and collectively shape a more inclusive future.

Taking place 16th June Broadway Campus Hall, from 11:30 to 2:30 - please feel free to come in your cultural clothing.

Together, we don’t just stand against racism—we rise above it.

CLASS REPS SHOULD COMPLETE ONLINE TRAINING DURING NOVEMBER - This will prepare reps for their meetings with Curriculum Managers

Class Rep Training is mandatory to understand the role and responsibilities as elected Class Rep. The ‘learner voice’ system helps make positive changes to courses, the college and the college community, to achieve the very best outstanding learning experience possible.

The 'Class Rep Job Description' and all other relevant information regarding the class rep role is posted to the main Class Rep MSTeam which reps will be added to as members.

Information how to complete the online training is also posted to the team.

The training content will be the same at each session and therefore reps should only complete this ONCE - Reps who complete the training session will receive a certificate of achievement and class rep lanyard.

If reps attended training last year, they will still be required to complete online training again.

All students are invited to come along and join in the fun - This is an event not to be missed!

Freshers' Fayre events are for every student, whether they are full or part time, first or second year students in Further or Higher Education. The fayre is set to be a fun, informative and interactive event which offers an enjoyable round up to the induction process. Students can get involved in fun activities at Broadway Campus Great Hall and Courtyard.

Learner Voice Meeting 2 - Class Reps to meet with Curriculum Managers (16/03/2026, 09:00)

Class reps will be attending their Spring/Summer Term Learner Voice meeting with their Curriculum Manager.

All reps registered will receive a diary invitation advising them of the date, time and room when they should attend their meeting.

The meeting agenda can be viewed on the Class Rep 2025.2026 MSTeam - Class reps should discuss the agenda questions with students in their class prior to the meeting and collate feedback focussing on the 'Teaching and Learning' experience to share with the Curriculum Manager.

The meeting is also an opportunity to meet with other class reps from the same curriculum area.
