Students' Union invites you to join them for music and fun leading up to World Mental Health Day

Mental health challenges are becoming increasingly common - Taking steps to support wellbeing is more important than ever.

Dudley Students' Union are here to support you and understand the importance of reflecting and taking care of ourselves.

Feel free to share your ideas and experiences. Together, let’s make our college a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and relaxed.

MEETING 2 - Learner Voice Class Rep meeting with Curriculum Managers (02/03/2027, 09:00)

Class reps will be attending their Spring/Summer Term Learner Voice meeting with the Curriculum Manager.

All reps registered will receive a diary invitation advising them of the date, time and room when they should attend their meeting.

The meeting agenda will be available on the Class Rep 2026.2027 MSTeam after the February half term break - Class reps should discuss the agenda questions with students in their class prior to the meeting and collate feedback focussing on the 'Teaching and Learning' experience to discuss with the Curriculum Manager.

The meeting is also an opportunity to meet with other class reps from the same curriculum area.

The ‘learner voice’ system helps make positive changes to courses, the college and the college community, to achieve the very best outstanding learning experience possible.

Dudley's Holocaust Commemoration 2027 (29/01/2027, 12:30)

Holocaust Memorial Commemoration is an opportunity to pause, to remember the millions of people who suffered in the Holocaust and in genocides which followed, and to ensure that these atrocities are never forgotten, trivialised, or denied.

Ian Austin, Lord Austin of Dudley, and Dudley College Students’ Union organise the borough's annual commemoration, which is attended by VIPs, faith leaders, members of the community, and college and school students from across the Dudley borough.

The theme for HMD 2027 service is 'No Place for Prejudice' which examines how prejudice shaped and enabled the Holocaust and recognises that prejudice is not only a feature of the past, but can be seen today as a present and growing reality. The theme invites reflection on how prejudice is learned, reinforced and embedded in so many places and often excused as normal or inevitable.

With the support of Lord Austin and the Holocaust Educational Trust, we will have the great honour of being joined by a Holocaust Survivor, who is the special guest speaker at the service. We will also hear recounts from a Dudley College student who has taken part in the HET ‘Lessons from Auschwitz’ project.

We hope you will be able to join us for this commemorative service, to remember and continue the campaign against injustice, hatred and discrimination which has always been central to the role of Students' Unions and Trade Unions.

We welcome you to share the service information with your friends, family and colleagues.

- A Teacher Permission Form for any lessons missed

CLASS REPS SHOULD COMPLETE ONLINE TRAINING DURING NOVEMBER - This will prepare reps for their meetings with Curriculum Managers

Class Rep Training is mandatory to understand the role and responsibilities as elected Class Rep. The ‘learner voice’ system helps make positive changes to courses, the college and the college community, to achieve the very best outstanding learning experience possible.

The 'Class Rep Job Description' and all other relevant information regarding the class rep role is posted to the main Class Rep MSTeam which reps will be added to as members.

Information how to complete the online training is also posted to the team.

The training content will be the same at each session and therefore reps should only complete this ONCE - Reps who complete the training session will receive a certificate of achievement and class rep lanyard.

If reps attended training last year, they will still be required to complete online training again.
