She had returned to her studies for a career change. Being a mature learner, she already had experience of juggling work, studying and family life. Coming from overseas, he enrolled onto an ESOL course to learn English. He became a class rep and started taking part in the Students’ Union (SU) activities and was very impressed by the way the SU represent the students. To complete his course, an element of Work Experience was needed, so he approached the SU for a volunteering position. In 2020, she ran for presidency during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic and was elected into the role in the first virtual-only Student Elections. Having to finish the last year of school with online learning, she came to college with less social experience then she would usually have and was quite shy, like many people coming out of the lockdown. She came to college and studied health and social care. She served as an Inspired Campus Leader for 2023–2024 and was re-elected to represent Brierley Hill campus in 2024–2025. Alongside studying for a BTEC Level 2 in IT, she showed strong dedication.
