Overview
A group of our EU Ambassadors, along with members of the Student Union leadership team, recently attended the Europe Day celebration at Europe House. Representing our school as part of the EPAS (European Parliament Ambassador School) programme, students took part in a day of learning, discussion, and cultural exchange alongside other schools.
Celebrating Europe Day
We recently had the opportunity to take part in the celebration of Europe Day, visiting Europe House as EPAS (European Parliament Ambassador School) ambassadors. It was an inspiring and educational experience that allowed us to deepen our understanding of the European Union and its impact.
During the event, we listened to two engaging guest speakers, Omar Doumbouya and Leena-Maria Linnus, who shared valuable insights into what the EU is, how it operates, and the important work they are involved in. Their talks helped us better understand the role of cooperation between countries and the opportunities the EU provides for young people.
After the presentations, we took part in activities to celebrate the achievements and cultural diversity of the European Union. One of the highlights was visiting a variety of country stalls, where we explored different traditions, cultures, and information about EU member states. This interactive experience made learning both fun and memorable.
The event was attended not only by our school but also by several other schools, giving us the chance to meet and connect with students from different backgrounds. It created a lively and inclusive atmosphere that reflected the values of unity and collaboration promoted by the EU.
Overall, the experience was highly enjoyable and educational. We learned a great deal, gained new perspectives, and felt proud to represent our school as EPAS ambassadors at such a meaningful event.
