Stratford-Upon-Avon Training Residential - Friday 24th to Sunday 26th April 2026
This residential is a fantastic opportunity for students to reflect on the essential leadership and workplace skills they have developed during their time in their Students' Union role.
During the residential, students will stay at the Stratford Manor Hotel, located at Warwick Road, Straford CV37 0PY.
The training sessions will focus on skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, time management, mental health awareness, promoting equality, and how to have positive conversations. These workshops are designed to empower students with knowledge and practical skills they can carry forward into their roles and future careers.
In addition to the training sessions, students will also participate in team-building activities to foster collaboration and camaraderie. These activities will include bowling and sightseeing around Stratford-Upon-Avon, providing an opportunity to strengthen their bonds while exploring the city and enjoying some well-deserved downtime.
The staff team accompanying the group is highly experienced in supporting students on activities of this nature, bringing a wealth of expertise. Their skill sets range from qualified teachers to qualified youth workers, ensuring the best possible guidance and care throughout the trip. Every detail of this residential has been carefully considered in an extensive risk assessment, including appropriate safeguarding arrangements to provide a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
All costs for this residential, including travel, accommodation, and meals, are fully covered. A team of four staff members will be accompanying the group, with Sophia Daly serving as the staff lead.
We believe this experience will be incredibly beneficial and are confident it will leave a lasting, positive impact on all participants.
