Feel at home, away from home! The Afro Club is a vibrant celebration of African culture, offering students from African and Caribbean backgrounds a community where they can connect.
The Afro Club is a vibrant community at college dedicated to celebrating and preserving African culture and heritage. It serves as a welcoming space for individuals from diverse backgrounds to come together and engage with the rich traditions, art, music, and cuisine of the African continent. We have regular activities every Thursday which include cultural workshops, dancing and music nights, movie nights, cooking, arts and crafts, games, quizzes and intellectual activities centred on african culture. The club also hosts discussions and lectures that highlight the contributions of African cultures to the global landscape, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation among its members.
In addition to its cultural programming, the Afro Club emphasizes community engagement and social responsibility to encourage cultural exchange and understanding as well as tolerance. By creating a supportive network, the club not only celebrates African heritage but also empowers individuals to share their stories and experiences. This commitment to cultural pride and community building makes the Afro Club a unique and enriching environment for all who join.
