Statement of intent if elected

As your Vice President, my commitment is to ensure that every student's voice is heard, supported, and empowered. I believe in fostering a campus environment that is inclusive, engaging and conductive to both personal and academic growth. Here are some ideas where I will focus on.

Mental health Support program:
As we know, mental health is a big issue, so as a student representative, I will do a mental health awareness campaign on this issue. I will increase the availability of professional counselling services both in-person and online to provide the students with the support they need. I will promote mental health resources and the services available on campus through campaigns, workshops, and informational sessions.
Mental health matters campaign: this campaign aims to educate the public about mental health and reduce stigma. Encouraging open discussions about mental health in college by working with communities and local organisations so they can give workshops to students that can help normalizing the topic and reduce the fear or shame associated with it. By sharing personal experiences about mental health on social media can reduce the stigma and others can relate with it. 

Improving Students experience:
I will focus on the things that can reduce stress like games, clubs, and tournaments. We have some gaming clubs in the college, but I will launch more gaming clubs. We do a tournament once a year that is just for football. I will also do the tournament of other games as well, so the students who are good in other games will get a chance to show their skills. I will launch a cricket club, and I will try my best to improve their game so they can play a tournament from our college sides with other college's team. We can get a place for club by working with local organisations, and we can do it with the partnership of them as well.

Enhancing college diversity and inclusivity:
In Dudley College many students are from different backgrounds and ethnicities. They need to learn about each other’s cultures so that there will be an increased love and respect between them. I will support the bame leader in organizing the culture day in which everyone will get a chance to know about each other's culture. The Ramadan football tournament is a great way to bring the different communities together. I will try my best to do these kinds of events in the college so everyone will know about each other's culture and religion. Muslims do pray every day in college, in prayer room there is not facilities that they need. I will push college to do that by lobbying for facilities such as paper towel as they do ablution {wudu}, they need a paper towel so they can dry their body. Safety is important everyone needs to feel safe in college nowadays there is lot of knife crime I will do lobby and will try my best to implement the knife bin.
