About Dudley College Students' Union

Dudley Students’ Union (DSU) is an independent organisation, distinct from Dudley College, with its own budget, strategy, and policies. Our independence is essential, allowing us to represent your views to the college without compromise. We also provide impartial advice and support on a range of teaching and learning issues.

About Us Image 1

If you’re enrolled in a course at Dudley College or Sixth, you’re automatically a member of the Students’ Union. As a member, you’re entitled to access all the benefits, services, and opportunities we offer.

At DSU, students are at the heart of everything we do. We are proudly student-led and student-focused, working to represent you. As an exempt charity, we receive most of our funding through a grant from Dudley College. We also generate additional income from the sale of Totum cards and external funding bids. Every penny we receive is invested back into enhancing your experience—whether through subsidising trips, hosting events, supporting student clubs and societies, campaigning or helping you engage with our democratic structures.

Our mission is to improve your student experience, and champion the vibrancy of our student community through advocacy and political campaigning. We are guided by core values of democracy, inclusivity and accountability, which shape everything we do.

Our main purpose is to amplify your voice and address the issues that matter to you the most, such as mental health and the cost-of-living crisis.
