We are delighted to share that Dudley Students’ Union has achieved accreditation from the National Union of Students (NUS) as a Quality Students’ Union, with a rating of ‘Very Good’ .
What is the Quality Students’ Unions framework?
The Quality Students’ Unions framework sets out criteria for Unions to achieve and identify areas for improvement, while ensuring compliance. It’s divided into:
- Part A: Organisational health checks
- Part B: Deep analysis of areas like Communication, Democracy, Governance, Learning, Participation, People, Campaigning, Services, Strategy, and Sustainability.
Part B involved submitting a detailed report supported by evidence from various departments.
How did we get on?
Out of 12 key areas, we achieved an overall rating of ‘Very Good’. Ratings can be Good, Very Good, or Excellent. We’re proud of this recognition and extend our thanks to everyone who contributed—students, staff, and officers.
What happens next?
With the final report in hand, we’re focusing on the recommendations and looking ahead to further improvements. Our goal is to work towards implementing our strategic plan and delivering on student priorities.
