• Spearhead course excellence through representation and student engagement.
• Lead campaigns on improving the quality and experience of education for students.
• Steer effective change for students throughout their courses using the power of student voice.
• Work closely with Class Reps and Campus Leaders to improve the student experience at college.

Biography:

My name is Atifa, I study Level 3 Applied Sciences, and I’m originally from Afghanistan. My background is what inspired me to pursue the role of Assistant President of Education. In Afghanistan, female students, especially, face major difficulties under the Taliban’s rule, which doesn’t allow access to the education they deserve. Many third-world countries often lack the resources and opportunities that we, as students in the UK, have. My aim is to raise awareness about global education, helping students here recognise their privileges and encouraging them to make the most of the opportunities available to them.
