Your Students' Union Leadership Team

The Leadership Team at Dudley College SU is made up of students who nominate themselves and are elected to represent the student body and lead the Students' Union. Their main purpose is to represent the student body and amplify the voice of students by addressing the issues affecting them from mental health to the cost-of-living. 

The team is divided into three key parts:

The Executive

President: The paid full-time President sets the strategic direction of the Union and oversees all its work such as the political campaigning, marketing, events, student voice and projects, they are also the 1st Student Governor and sit on the governing body of Dudley College known as the Corporation which drives the work of the College. 

Vice President: A voluntary second-in-command role, the VP is mentored by The President by predominatley supporting and shadowing them. Their role is to act as a team morale buildier, motivating the Team to deliver on it committments. 

Assistant Presidents: Six voluntary roles leading specific areas of the Students' Union:

  • Sustainability
  • Media & Outreach

The Wider Leadership

This group includes Campus Leaders and Liberation Leaders, who represent diverse voices across all campuses and communities.

The Chairship

Chair: Typically the 2nd Student Governor, this role oversees meetings, Student Parliament and ensures accountability.

Vice Chair: Supports the Chair and also supports in overseeing the Student Parliament meetings and is appointed from the Leadership Team by the Executive.
